Yesterday Assouline Publishing held an event in their store at The Plaza Hotel in Manhattan to preview a number of their fantastic coffee table books. I am completely obsessed with this publisher. I go on their website almost everyday, and add to my wish list ten at a time! Below are the cover shots are a few of the books that I am most excited for. And one of the best things about Assouline is that they're not outrageously expensive. Sure, a couple of their special edition books, like Tommy Hilfiger, or Tag Heurer books are a bit pricey (hundreds of dollars), but their everyday coffee table books are almost all under $100.

Upstate New York with Downtown Stone
The Harris Manor was built 1929 for Henry Upham Harris, a partner at J.P. Morgan. Architect Roger Bullard created the home which is made of stone taken from the excavation of New York City's subway system tunnels. Brookville, New York is home to many historic homes. The ornate wood carvings, stone floors, and leaded glass windows make this home one of Brookville's most prominent houses. Sitting on 31 acres, the manor is sure to entice anyone to spend a weekend away from the city and in the serene country.
